It also touches on the city’s historical development, unique food culture, and the impacts of decentralisation on local food management. Through outlining the challenges that local government faces, the report explains the economic drivers behind informal markets, dietary equity, and food waste management. This holistic approach paves the way for future research and informed interventions, highlighting the essential role of food systems in urban resilience.
